Nougie's Essentails / New Short Film

The Summer break seems to be treating me rather well. After a couple of dry months for ideas, the past few weeks at home have given me some time to think about future shows and films and at time of writing I have just finished editing the pilot episode for what I hope to kick off a successful series to - Nougie's Essentials: a short (roughly 5 minute) show featuring a different film or videogame, speaking about the merits, history and why I consider it as 'an essential'.

Along side that, I have also broken through my writer's cramp and have some new ideas for the next short film piece. Of course, Matt will be working with me again and after his brilliant job of tidying my script up last time, I've asked him to actually write this next one, based upon my ideas. I will spend the time storyboarding and developing the visual side of the film.

The focus of the short is teenage peer pressure, centered around an adolescent from London that falls into a spiral of decline from making the wrong decisions amongst his peers. We plan to get writing started next week and to film it over August. Check this space for any future news!

Last and but not least, we have tried to arrange the upcoming Resident Evil Challenge and we have come to a few conclusions. First of all, Matt's Challenge will once again be 12 hours with mine remaining at 24. We will play RE5 on co-op together alongside (subject to change) 4 games for me and Metal Gear Solid 4 for him. That's as far as we've got due to us both having busy schedules at the moment but we plan to get it arranged and booked within the next few weeks.

The next Resident Evil Challenge is planned for August 2009.
