Even though I have not finished filming my interactive movie yet (filming is due to finish on Monday), I have started my main editing. Before I started editing properly, I needed to undertake some tests to see which is the best Video format to use practically (size wise) and quality wise. After around 10 hours of attempts, I found the best way to do it, is to use compressed Quicktime videos as they do not need to convert when you put them in Flash (with the correct settings). My video won't be able to stream from the internet, as it's already over 150mb and I've not edited half of it yet, so it'll be pretty big but hopefully small enough to download the file.
The editing has been pretty fluent so far. Been using the soundtracks that I wrote in it, and I think they collaborate with the video well. I've also reduced the saturation to make it look a tad more gothic and creepy. I made my death screen title today in After Effects, which I think is pretty effective and I'll probably use After Effects to make my opening title screen which is of an altered photo of the mask and axe from the movie.
A few parts of the film I can't really edit, as I need some of the footage from the scenes that still need to be filmed, which is an inconvenience but hopefully the weather will be sunny to match the other scenes, when we plan to film on Monday!
