The days are darkening, the nights are getting colder and Autumn is slowly crawling it's way back in as Summer comes to an end...
Can't believe how quickly this Summer has passed, it's absolutely, positively crazy. 3 months I've been back at home and it already feels like Uni was just a holiday. I've become so settled at home and at work again that I sometimes wonder if I ever did move out for 9 months. Still, with that all said I'm moving back up to Birmingham in 2 weeks to start a fresh new term.
I'm going to make a bit more of an effort to take this year seriously. I really didn't apply myself as much as I could've done. Even though I passed the year with decent enough grades, I know that I can do a lot better. I'm going to make more of an effort on my writing, get some really good scripts written up - I need to spend more time on the script of future films as it really is the key to making or breaking a film which is why we've decided to postpone filming of our film that's currently in the works until Christmas.
Matt and I pretty much got the story finished a couple of weeks ago but we really want to get the script tight for when we film it. Give me enough time to memorise every scene so I know EXACTLY what I want when we come to filming. So I can be a precise little bastard like any good director should. I also want to pass the script around to teachers, etc to make sure it's all sound. Main thing I need to get organised is talent - would really like to get some proper actors in this time but I have like 3 months to get that all sorted.
Finished editing the RE + MGS4 Challenge this week. Was fun, gave me something to do over Summer. I can tell my editing skills have improved, I tried to give the video a really dramatic edge over previous ones and I think that this is quite obvious if you give the video a watch. We also captured so much footage that I had to split the video into 3 sections with each section lasting from 30 mins upto 50 so there's a lot for the hardcore bunch to watch.
Finally, with moving back to Uni means I'll have less time on my hands for all my websites and community. I'm going to get another 'Essentials' video finished next week and I'll try and do some at uni although it may be hard narrating in a bedroom next to flat mates.
If you've read this far then well done. I still don't quite understand why people take such an interest in my life, but it definitely gives me the inspiration to keep making these productions!
