Finished...?

This may well be the 76th time I've said this to myself. The film may not be frame perfect. I still have a couple of days until I need to start burning discs. Regardless of all these elements, I am CERTAIN that I have actually now finished editing About Sixteen.

From an estimated total of something around the 100 hour mark, editing time hasn't been short on this film. I've exported about 10 different copies of the film as it's gone through the process and from the previous one - there was only a few things that needed changing. From that, I went back and completely changed the intro as I felt that it could be better and also we had some problems with the opening track.

We originally were going to use a remix of Adele's track 'Round my Hometown' produced by Grimes (located in Birmingham - the track was used for the trailer). I spoke to him about the use of it back in early November and he sounded pleased to co-operate. Once I asked him for the legal properties he started acting a bit shady and has blocked all contact from me... Not sure what's going on there. Regardless, I told Lewes (the lead actor) about the problem and he actually ended up producing a track which in my opinion is better anyway!

So everything is now sorted for the film, Premiere will be exporting it over night and tomorrow will be the moment of truth when I try to watch it back with an Eagle Eye and make sure that the many people who were involved with the film will be impressed! The trailer in case you hadn't seen it is now online and expect the whole film to be on Youtube by the end of the month.
