Been a while since I've updated this about how my game designing is going... I've now gone with the idea of a game based upon choices with one choice being the simple and 'boring' solution and then a violent or reckless choice as the other. The player must choose which choice to make and if they do not choose in time, then the game shows a consequence that results in the player losing. There will be a scene involving gun violence and you get the choice whether to shoot or not. Shooting them will benefit you in the game, but later it will come back and create a series of unfortunate consequences for the player.
So far, I have only managed to complete the first scene of the game revolved around the player choosing whether to smash an annoying alarm clock or not. I have the consequence fully animated if the player does not make a choice with the players head exploding due to the annoying alarm ringing. I also finished off the consequence if the player destroys the alarm clock. I haven't managed to get the button working which will jump you the frame that shows the video of the consequence due to problem with coding but I've decided that I'll try and get as much animation completed now and work on the coding later.
I also finished the introduction scene which displays 'Karma' (the game's title') and then a short animation that explains the rules of the game. These animations are very short but took ages to perfect. With the amount of time left to get this game completed, I'm starting to doubt that I'll have it finished by the time it has to be handed in, but I think what I have done so far is very rewarding and looks pretty well made.
