Ta-Dah!

Wow! After a hefty 6 hour session in Power Director, I just finished editing my documentary! It took a lot of effort, but I have it finished early and now I have just over 2 weeks to get all the paperwork finished, so the main stress is out of the way now.

I burnt the video straight to disc to show my parents before I went to bed, and apart from 2 scenes, it all seems dandy. I have rectified those scenes (it had to do with the audio looping because I forgot to mute one of the tracks) and I am very pleased with the end product. I got some criticism from my Dad about the camerawork, but I was aware of that and will work on it in future productions. I also decided to incorporate some music into my video from an artist on looperman.com named 'stableD'. I used 3 of his tracks from this license free site and it was quite interesting picking out the music. I found the genre of industrial and thought the genre name sounded quite fitting to the project but found out it was a different style of music to that... But, it actually works very well and it's nice to have a different style to what I would usually use.

Overall, I'm pleased with this documentary. I can really see where my skills are shining through from my previous documentary about horror films and the editing process didn't take anywhere near as long this time. I'm looking forward to seeing how the disc comes out tomorrow and then we'll have our final, final product!
